Everything else on ConvertNicely is arithmetic on a file. These tools have to understand what is in it: telling a subject from its background, or reading a whole document. Remove Background and Change Background are available now; reading the text off a picture lives under Extract; the rest are listed below as they arrive.

Remove Background

Cut the subject out of a JPG, PNG or WebP photo and get it back as a PNG with a transparent background. Free, and nothing is uploaded to a third party.

Change Background

Swap the background of a JPG, PNG or WebP photo for a solid colour or a picture of your own. Free, and nothing is sent to a third party.

How it works

    Upload

    Drag your file in or pick it from your device. Nothing is sent until you start.

  2. Step 2

    Adjust settings

    Optional. Change the settings if you need to — the defaults suit most files.

  3. Step 3

    Convert

    We convert the file on our servers. Most files are ready in under a minute; long videos take longer.

  4. Step 4

    Download

    Save your file. Your upload is already deleted, and the result is deleted automatically after 1 hour.

Uploads are removed as soon as processing finishes, and converted files are deleted after 1 hour. Read our privacy policy.
