Terms of service

The short version: use it for lawful purposes, do not abuse it, and understand that it is provided as is.

Using ConvertNicely

ConvertNicely provides free online file conversion. You may use it for personal or commercial purposes. No account is required, and we do not claim any rights over the files you convert — they remain entirely yours.

Your responsibilities

By using the service, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to convert the files you upload, and doing so does not infringe anyone else’s copyright or other rights.
  • You will not upload unlawful content, malware, or material intended to attack or disrupt the service.
  • You will not try to get round the rate limits, run the service by script at scale, or use it in a way that slows it for others. If you need automated access, ask us about the API.

Accounts

An account is optional. If you create one, give an email address you can receive mail at — it is how you confirm the address and how a reset code reaches you — and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may block or remove an account used to abuse the service or to break these terms, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.

Messages you send us

If you write to us through the contact form we store your message so a person can read and answer it, and we use it only for that. Please do not send confidential material: we rarely need the file itself to look into a problem.

Availability

The service is provided free of charge and without a guarantee of uptime. We may change, limit or withdraw any conversion at any time, including to respond to a security issue.

File retention

Uploads are deleted as soon as processing finishes and results are deleted after 1 hour. ConvertNicely is not a storage service, and you should not rely on it to keep anything. Always retain your own copy of the original file. See our privacy policy for details.

Conversion quality

Some conversions are inherently imperfect — converting a PDF back into an editable document, for example, involves reconstructing structure that the PDF does not record. We describe these limitations honestly on the relevant tool pages. Always check the result before relying on it for anything important.

Liability

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ConvertNicely is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the service, including loss of data or the consequences of an imperfect conversion.

Governing law and the operating entity

ConvertNicely is operated by Mohd Nafees. These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the service, are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction.
