Convert AAC to MP3
A .aac file is AAC audio with no container around it, the form some voice recorders, phone apps, screen recorders and radio streams save in. Many players, car stereos and upload forms will not open one. This re-encodes the sound to MP3, which plays on essentially everything.

Worth knowing
This tool is for .aac files. AAC audio inside an .m4a file is the same sound in a different wrapper; use M4A to MP3 for those. Tags such as the title and artist are not carried over to the MP3.
