Convert PDF to Markdown
Markdown is how notes, READMEs and documentation are written, and how most AI tools like their input. This tool reads a PDF's structure and writes it back as Markdown: # headings, - bullet lists, pipe tables and [links], as plain text you can paste into a repo, a wiki or a prompt.

Worth knowing
Markdown carries text and structure, not pictures or the exact look of the PDF. Headings, lists and tables are inferred from how the page looks, so a heavy graphic layout needs some tidying, and a table without clear rows may come across as plain lines.
Why convert PDF to Markdown?
- Moving a PDF's contents into a README, wiki or docs site
- Feeding a document to an AI tool in the format it reads best
- Keeping a report under version control as plain text
- Reworking a finished PDF into editable notes
