Resize Images
Set an exact width and height, scale by a percentage, or pick a common size — and the picture comes back in the format it went in as. Transparency survives, photos taken on a phone stay the right way up, and you can do a batch at once with the same settings applied to every one.

How to resize images
Step 1
1. Add your files
Drag up to 20 JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, BMP, TIFF, GIF or AVIF files into the box, or choose them from your device. Each can be up to 50 MB.
Step 2
2. Choose your settings
Fill in “Width” and “Height”. Adjust Resize by (Custom dimensions), Keep aspect ratio (on) and Remove metadata (on), or keep the starting values in brackets, which suit most files. Some choices show further settings. More are under Advanced options.
Step 3
3. Press Resize images
The work happens on our servers, and you can follow its progress.
Step 4
4. Download the result
Each file comes back in the format it went in; several come together in a ZIP. Your upload is already deleted, and the result is deleted after one hour.
Worth knowing
Making an image larger cannot add detail that was never captured, so an enlargement will look softer than the original. Animated GIFs and WebP files are resized from their first frame only, and the result is a still image.
Why resize images?
- Meeting a fixed size a website, CMS or marketplace insists on
- Cutting page weight by serving images at the size they are displayed
- Making a batch of photos a consistent width for a gallery or a document
- Getting a phone photo under an upload limit without changing its format
